Bass

Usually, and I think most people would agree on this, musicians tend towards an emotional judgement when they collect their first impressions of a new instrument. But in this case everything was almost shockingly different, when I received some Arcus bows for a trial.

I was instantly fascinated by the intelligence of these bows, if one might say so. The idea that a bow should match the ergonomics, the individual playing and different styles could simply be „calculated“, and actually should be „engineered“, does that not appears almost like a provocation?

Well, my two Arcus bows have completely replaced my two fine old pernambuco bows, so that I sold them both.
